At Simplicity Farm we enjoy the simple pleasures of country living from tending our organic vegetables, flowers and fruits to gathering eggs from our happy, free range chickens. Farming has brought our family a true awareness of the world around us - the air we breath, the food we eat and the land we live on - and just how precious and limited our natural resources are. We have always loved to surround ourselves with things fromt he past and shopping at flea markets and yard sales has always been a part of our life. We always thought of it as a hobby, but now realize we've been taking part in 'recycling' all these years and keeping things out of the landfill! When we moved to Blue Hill we found there wasn't a flea market nearby, so we decided to start one of our own.
Blake & Wendy Eaton are the owners of Simplicity Farm & Flea Market. Blake also owns and opperates a successful building business,Eaton Builders of Blue Hill and uses his many talents to build and renovate homes on the Blue Hill Peninsula. Wendy stays busy marketing both the farm and building business, bookeeping for both, and substitute teaching at her children's school in Blue Hill. In their free time they love to visit local yard and estate sales, searching for treasures!
Our flea market runs on Saturday mornings from 8am to noon. Here you can find many treasures such as antiques, collectables, handmade items and good usable 'stuff' with lots of life left in it! Interested vendors please contact us to reserve your table! During the growing season, we also sell any surplus we may have from our garden on Saturday mornings. Right now we are over run with zucchini and summer squash! We sell fresh eggs from our kitchen year round.
